NEONROOT’s 'Pulse Artifact' is a digital labyrinth—polyrhythmic, ambient, and often overwhelming in its raw form. Soultrane’s task was to shape and space the chaos. The original sessions were dense, featuring granular textures, detuned pads, and live modular sequences.
Soultrane used spatial imaging and subtractive EQ techniques to clarify the chaos. He widened synths, compressed low-end artifacts, and treated vocal samples with warping filters and dynamic reverb automation.
Mastering was equally involved—balancing transients while maintaining an open headroom feel that let NEONROOT’s details breathe. Soultrane made the album both more listenable and more immersive.
What was once cluttered became cinematic, without losing the raw experimental edge that defined it.
